Terms of Service
EFFECTIVE 7 SEPTEMBER 2026 · LAST UPDATED 7 SEPTEMBER 2026
The short version. Punk-Records is free. It reads your Apple Music listening and draws it. We make no promise that a chart is the truth about you, we are not affiliated with Apple, and you can leave at any time by deleting your account in the app.
01Agreement
These terms are between you and Punk-Records ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the Punk-Records app you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the app.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Punk-Records. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use it with a parent or guardian's permission.
02What the app is
Punk-Records reads your Apple Music listening history — with your permission, granted through iOS — and presents it as a set of charts and a daily Record Score. It does not play audio, does not modify your library, and does not create playlists.
You need an active Apple Music subscription for the app to have anything to read. That subscription is between you and Apple, and we have no control over it.
03Price
Punk-Records is free. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no paid tier. If that ever changes, existing features you already have will not be moved behind a paywall without notice and a genuine choice.
04Your account
Signing in is optional and uses Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for the security of the Apple ID you sign in with. You may delete your account and all associated data from Settings inside the app, at any time, without asking us — see the Privacy Policy.
05Acceptable use
Please do not: attempt to access another person's account or data; reverse engineer, decompile or interfere with the app except where that right cannot lawfully be restricted; probe or overload our service, or use automated means to extract data from it at scale; or use the app to break the law or to violate Apple's terms.
06Your data and your content
Your listening history is yours. We claim no ownership of it. You grant us only the permission we need to store it and compute your charts, and that permission ends when you delete your account.
The app itself — its code, design, the mark and the name — belongs to us and is not licensed to you beyond ordinary personal use of the app.
07Accuracy, and what a score is worth
The Record Score and every chart are interpretations, computed from an imperfect record. Apple exposes a limited window of recently-played tracks, timestamps are sometimes approximate, and the musical characteristics we use come from a third-party dataset that is occasionally wrong. Treat the output as a drawing of your listening, not as a measurement of it, and certainly not as a judgement of your taste.
08Availability
We may change, suspend or discontinue the app or any part of it. If we shut the service down we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your data first. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
09Termination
You may stop using Punk-Records at any time by deleting your account and removing the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms — for anything short of abuse, we will contact you first.
10Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for it (which is nothing) or twenty-five US dollars.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12Apple
Punk-Records is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc. Apple, Apple Music, iPhone and MusicKit are trademarks of Apple Inc.
For the app obtained through the App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability, failure to conform to legal requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims. In the event of a third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, will be responsible for its investigation, defence, settlement and discharge. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
13Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and material changes will be shown in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
14Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of California will have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, or of the right to bring proceedings there.
